Would you mind commenting on a couple of copyright claims found in this thread?

The MPRCS claimant is s generic claimant set up by Youtube to catch musical compositions. It seems that the vast majority of the musical compositions picked up by it are instances of classical or traditional music on soundtracks. The MPRCS Content ID is not monitored. It is fully automated and immediately and automatically "agrees" with any disputes filed against its claims. I use the first option "Does not contain the material in question" whe disputing these claims on Youtube.

Reusing the original musical score to a PD film in situ, whether copyright or not, is usually not a strict violation of copyright. It is only where the music is used out of context or the music was created, published and copyrighted before the movie was that the use can strictly be an infringement.

Not at all sure about this, but when I was publishing 'Evergreen' to my site, I was in contact with a big fan from the U.K. who has a site up partially about this film. It looked to me like the production was first a stage musical, so that might be a factor (as usual), if I am recalling this correctly.
